This whole-house remodel reimagines a Pacific Grove residence into a serene, timeless retreat crafted for the way this family truly lives. The newly opened kitchen now flows effortlessly into a gracious great room, anchored by a custom hood over a La Cornue range, floating shelves, and a refined blend of painted and stained wood cabinetry. Warm natural stone and maple casework connect the kitchen to the grand fireplace across the room, creating a cohesive palette that will remain classic for years to come. Throughout the home, bespoke details elevate everyday living. In the bedroom, custom white casework frames the window with built-in bookcases and a window seat — a thoughtful mix of open display space and concealed storage designed to evolve beautifully with the seasons.

The primary bath was tailored to the homeowners’ unique routines: one a daily shower-taker, the other devoted to long baths. A sculptural tub becomes the centerpiece of the room, flanked by alcove shelving for towels, books, candles, or a glass of wine. Soft hexagon floor tile complements the large-format wall tile behind the tub, where subtle dimensional hexagon shapes catch the light for an understated, dazzling effect.

Two children’s baths carry the home’s neutral foundation while reflecting each child’s personality. The blue bath features an iridescent glass niche reminiscent of sunlight on the ocean, while the cream bath uses bold black accents against a soft backdrop, allowing towels and accessories to introduce playful pops of color.
